Rather than saving cats and dogs like standard animal rescue organizations, this non-traditional animal rescue enterprise focuses on goats and sheep. You may have never heard of such a livestock rescue, but they exist, and we’ll show you who they are.
This enterprise provides a safe place for these abused animals, allowing them to enjoy their lives without fear of mistreatment. Shepherds-Rest-Goat-and-Sheep-Rescue focuses on animals that have been abused, neglected, or whose owners are unable to provide for their basic needs, according to Jen Scurman. They are brought to the sanctuary to live out their lives in freedom rather of being bred and abused for a specific purpose. This initiative encourages people to think about animal rescue in a broader sense rather than confining it to cats and dogs. These poor animals, who are abused by many humans who are only interested in exploiting them, receive little to no assistance. As a result, this rescue squad makes every effort to save as many animals as possible. Additionally, this sanctuary accepts goats and sheep that are nearing the end of their lives and wish to spend them as comfortably as possible.

Additionally, they offer a number of activities, such as animal-assisted therapeutic programs such as yoga and support animals for those living with dementia and other mental health conditions. Another unique activity offered at this sanctuary is “reading goat,” which is frequently used to aid elementary school students with pronunciation.
