For any couple, the arrival of a child is an exciting, exhilarating, and adventurous experience. But, no matter how intense it is, fathers will never know what it’s like to be a mother in terms of physical toll. Maitland Hanley, an Australian, attempted being pregnant for a day to get a flavor of what it’s like on the other side. This occurred while his wife, Jessica, was expecting their baby. In general, Maitland is a hysterical character. He uses TikTok, YouTube, Instagram, and other social media platforms to share his original comedy. So, until he tried it, pretending to be pregnant for a day was a brilliant idea. He attached a few watermelons on his body with his wife’s help and tried to go about his daily routine.
When he struggled to get out of bed, it became immediately amusing. Maitland had not anticipated the weight and compression that a baby puts on the body and its interior organs. His TikTok video showing him attempting to become pregnant became viral, garnering over 1.6 million views and counting!
It’s incredible how women can take such a physical toll with so little action. Not to mention the hunger, mood fluctuations, sickness, and everything else that comes with being pregnant.
