Plus-size women ask a photographer to slim them down in an experiment that will leave you speechless.

It’s practically impossible to discern what’s real and what’s not nowadays, thanks to retouching, Instagram filters, and people’s savvy knack for snapping images at favourable angles. Almost every model in a magazine or on a billboard, for example, has been photoshopped. Even television isn’t as clear as it used to be.

Two plus-sized models, Diana Sirokai and Callie Thorpe, teamed up with professional photographer Karizza for a jaw-dropping experiment to demonstrate how warped people’s perceptions of truth and beauty have become. Karizza began by photographing the young ladies. The photographer then used Photoshop to make some drastic changes.

“I have to say we look amazing both ways,” Diana remarked on Instagram.

“The goal of this was to show you all how magazines and the media take editing to a new level,” she continued.

Models and celebs don’t even resemble one other. We live in such a phony world that it’s past time to restore reality. Own your identity and slay!”

Callie (on the left) and Diana (on the right) intended to demonstrate how publications and the media heavily modify photographs.

As a result, they teamed up with photographer Karizza and had their images taken, which they subsequently edited in Photoshop.

And this is the photoshopped version

Despite society’s inability to embrace many types of beauty, the girls are pushing others to accept themselves and “slay.”

Diana posted a photo of her body next to Kim Kardashian’s last month, captioning it, “We are both women with distinct bodies.”
