They generally prove superior in comparing the quality of books and their film adaptations. One reason is that films do not always have the same images as a book, in which emotions are mixed with prints. While reading, one could create a different picture of a scene or person and experience a different general perception of a narrative.
When adapting a film, the casting is typically determined by the character traits described in a book. But, the look of the characters is not always exact.
